Community Information

Marion City Schools, in partnership with community organizations, want to keep families aware of opportunities for students and families outside of the schools. The following information is provided by community organizations and questions should be addressed to the respective organization.

Upcoming Community Events

CALEDONIA FARMERS MARKET 

Please see the attached flyers for the Caledonia Farmers Market and upcoming public outreach programs for the Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program. This is a statewide program for income eligible seniors who are 60+ to receive a $50 benefit to spend on fresh produce, fresh fruit, fresh herbs, or unprocessed honey at approved farmers markets, farm stands, or road side stands. Not to be used in grocery stores or other retail places.

SPORTS PHYSICALS

We never want a student to be kept out of play for lack of access to a sports physical. Please help spread the word.

Also, we're working to expand our services in Marion and are in need of volunteers and providers to help facilitate our clinic.

BLOOD DRIVE - May 23

Ohio Heartland Community Action Commission is hosting a blood drive in the Community Room at 1183 Bellefontaine Ave. on Friday, May 23 from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Streamline your donation experience and save up to 15 minutes by visiting RedCrossBlood.org/RapidPass to complete your pre-donation reading and health history questions on the day of your appointment.
