From time to time during the school year, Marion City Schools may operate remotely, experience delays or early dismissals or make changes in school schedules and activities due to inclement weather or emergencies. Bus service will still be operational if we are on a delay or early dismissal.
In an effort to share announcements in a timely manner, the first step in our notification process will be electronic. We will contact all parents and staff using the One Call system and the MCS app. We will also post the notification on our website as well as our social media channels. Our local media outlets will also be notified. Thank you!

School delays
If there is a two-hour delay, schools will open at the following times:
9:40a.m. at Harding High School
10:25a.m. at Grant Middle School
11a.m. at Elementary Schools
Preschool Specific Closing and Delays
In the event of a two hour delay, all morning preschool classes are canceled. Afternoon preschool classes will be held at their scheduled time. In the even of a school closure, all preschool classes are canceled.
